We will explore nourishing herbs, medicinal foods and tonic herbs
that strengthen our terrain, build our immunity, while supporting
optimum wellness. We become familiar with common anti bacterial and
anti viral herbs, how to prepare them and how to use them in ways that
are safe and health building for the entire family. We will look at
ways to prevent getting the flu by building up the immune system and
also become familiar with treatments for the flu.
Herbal medicine is one of the oldest forms of healing and has been
practised continuously from the earliest times. Over 80% of the worlds
population still uses herbs as their primary means of health-care.
There is nothing quite as empowering as knowing how to make your own
medicines. Herbs are magical but preparing and using them doesn't have
to be mystical.We will learn how to make simple medicines from common
herbs and foods.

Medicine Girls! New Program
Medicine Girls- the beginning
A program for girls aged 7-12 years old starting out on the Medicine Path Medicine Making Tools of the Trade Folk Lore Ethical Harvesting Wild Foods Medicine People around the Globe Wild Crafting Fairy Tales and Folk Tales Botanical Art Medicine Wheels Power Animals and Power Plants First Aid Girls will be introduced to the practical skills essential for every aspiring herbalist. Build a life-long relationship to the green world. We will play in the brook, drink herbal tea around the fire pit, create ceremonies of gratitude and connection. Join this circle of learning and make new friends who share that same passion for healing. Begin your journey to becoming a medicine girl! This program will take place one Sunday afternoon per month for 6 months 1st class Sept 6 from 2-5:o0 pm Program cost is $200 and is limited to 6 girls- so register soon!
