Here is the "challenge" part:
1) Choose your modality
Journalling, Photography, Art, Collage, Prayer writing, Thank You notes
One study performed by positive psychologist Robert Emmons explored the idea of keeping a gratitude list. The articles explains, “subjects who wrote down one thing that they were grateful for every day reported being 25 percent happier for a full six months after following this practice for just three weeks.”
Another practice you could try is to use your camera to collect daily evidence of the gratitude you experience in your life. This can be done with your camera phone, Try to make it an actual practice where you actively seek moments full of gratitude and snap a photo capturing that moment. Find those moments that cause joy and thankfulness to bubble up.
2) For 30 days create a page following the gratitude prompt of the day
3) At the end of 30 days submit proof of completion of your "30 ways to say thank-you" (a photo essay, a journal, a collage, a collection of thank you letters, etc) and I will send you a gratitude gift...something herbal and yummy that will speak to your senses!
Remember the act of writing down….materializing…translates your thoughts into words, writing helps organize thoughts, and facilitates integration.
Another daily practice that brings in gratitude is writing a thank you note. Think about how different each day might feel if you began it with letting someone else know that they've made your life better?
